Organiga Story Enriched Lip Butter Review

Lip Balms Review - again! This time I am reviewing a store bought balm which is the Organiga Story Enriched Lip Butter. I bought this at Watsons during a sale for RM8.90.

Product description: The Organiga Lip Butter is ultra nourishing and conditioning lip butter containing Shea Butter that hydrates and softens your lips. Organic Green Apple gives your lips lasting moisture and protection from dullness, leaving you with perfectly soft and healthy lips. It is said to be made with certified organic green apple from France and has a 100% vegetarian ingredient. It is made in Thailand.

The list of ingredients in printed at the back of the cardboard packaging.

Ingredients: Isopropyl Myristate, Polybutene, Microcrystalline Wax, Petrolatum, Isononyl Isononanoate, Octyldodecanol, Parfum, Silica Dimethyl Sillate, Polyethylene, Decylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Tocopheryl Acetate, Sorbitan Tristearate, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract (Certified Organic), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, CI 77891, CI 19140, CI 4209.

The lip butter comes in a round tin container with a pull of lid. The lip butter weighs 10 g. It has a very nice subtle apple scent. The texture of the lip butter is very soft. So soft that it melted a bit and leaked at the side of the tin. It got quite messy when I opened the tin.
The green coloured label on the tin gives a soothing look to the product.
The lip butter leaked out of the tin even before I opened it.

The lip butter has a very nice light milky green colour. It also has a very soft texture like a hybrid of lip balm and body butter combined. It is easy to scoop the lip butter out of the tub because of the soft texture and it glides smoothly over my lips giving them a very nice and healthy shine. It made my lips felt very soft and smooth. There is a slight oiliness felt on my fingers after swiping the lip butter over my lips.
A newly opened tub of lip butter. The contents moved to the left side of the container and leaked out.
The lip butter swatched on mt hands. Looks like body butter doesn't it?

After about half and hour, there is an obvious petrol taste in my mouth so I quickly wiped it off. Ewww.. the petrol taste does not go away for a very long time after that. Double ewwww! This one is definitely going into the trash bin. I know it's made of petrolatum but the petrol factor need not become that obvious!

My verdict: The yucky petrol taste is really intolerable to me so I chucked the whole content into the bin but I kept the tin container (might come in handy to keep brooches for traveling). I definitely would not repurchase this for any amount of discounts.
